When it comes to improving our workplaces, industries and communities--we forget it is not organizations or entities that do the work...it is PEOPLE that do." -- Claudia Chan

As world leaders gather in New York this week for the UN General Assembly, we are reminded of impact, both in our lives and on the world but sometimes it's easy to feel like we can't make a difference from where we are. But you don't need to be at UNGA or have a fancy title to lead in your workplace or community. In fact, every year at S.H.E. Summit we hear incredible stories of people from all walks of life who have a tremendous impact in their communities.

We all have the ability to influence, but many of us choose not to or put in the minimal effort. This could be for various reasons--we may hold positions of influence but lack the energy and capacity to do so. We understand that feeling of knowing you can do more while being trapped by internal and external barriers you can’t seem to break. It's time to shift what is holding us back.

We invite you to join celebrated voices, fresh thinkers, and innovators to explore what makes a leader and how all of us can unleash influence on a personal and organizational level.

Questions to reflect on now to prepare you for transformative sessions on Nov. 21-22:

  1. Do you lead with a "me-over-we" or "me-for-we" mindset?
  2. Do you feel the career you work so hard for has enough meaning and impact? On a scale of 1-10 what number would you rate this at (1 being lowest and 10 being highest)?
  3. Contemplate what would give it greater meaning and impact and get you to a 10 and bring that curiosity to the conference.

Let's rise together,
Claudia

Attending S.H.E. Summit helped me realize we are the future and the voice for many. It helped me ask – if not you, then who else?
The conference is remarkable because not only do you meet amazing, powerful, strong women; you meet leaders who believe in your dreams and the purpose that you were created for. Always remember that you are created for greatness, for showing up, for being unique and being the best version of yourselves every day."
