Doyin (“doe-ween”) Richards is passionate about inspiring moms and dads to be the best parents they can be. Since creating his fatherhood brand Daddy Doin’ Work in 2012, Doyin has become one of the most popular and respected fatherhood voices in America with a powerful social media following. The versatility in which Doyin gets his message across is his biggest strength. He recently keynoted conferences for the SHE Summit, PwC, LexisNexis, the Dad 2.0 Summit and others. Microsoft hired Doyin to star in its international marketing campaign for parents, and other major brands such as Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, Chrysler, and Nature Made currently work with him. Doyin is also called upon to make regular appearances as a parenting expert on NPR, HLN, CNN, and The TODAY Show. Doyin authored three groundbreaking books, and his latest title, WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? was the #1 New Release in the ultra-competitive children’s “Explore The World” category on Amazon. In addition to his books, Doyin is HuffPost advice columnist for all things parenting. He has also written for Upworthy, Refinery29, TODAY Parents, AskMen.com, Mashable and Parents Magazine. He’s far from a “one-trick pony parenting writer,” too. Whether it’s offering up hard-hitting pieces about police shootings, or interviewing a former white supremacist— Doyin fearlessly covers a broad range of topics using his unique style. Doyin is also a proud feminist. He volunteers his time to coach the only all-girls 2nd Grade basketball team in West LA. His goal is to teach his players that they can compete against boys on and off the court. And last but definitely not least, Doyin is open about his struggles with depression — a topic that men rarely discuss publicly. He speaks with men and boys across the nation to help them feel comfortable about addressing mental illness. As a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY, Doyin holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. In his spare time he loves watching sports (especially the Los Angeles Lakers), working out, taking afternoon naps, watching superhero movies, and eating anything peanut butter flavored. He currently lives with his family in sunny Los Angeles, CA.
