Ellen Seckler is a passionate marketing executive who has worked in her industry for over thirty years. She landed her first position in the watch industry doing ad production and traffic and then became an account executive. From there she moved on to product development and has now put it all together as Executive Vice President of Marketing. As opportunities arouse Ellen moved around the watch industry to some of the largest watch groups in the world. She paved her own path in this traditionally male-dominated field and gained the respect of her colleagues both male and female alike. Ellen took some time off in the mid-80’s to be a stay at home mom and came back to work ready to prove that she could pick up where she left off. She has served as an inspiration to many that you can do it all with lots of hard work, commitment to excellence, and energy—of which Ellen has plenty! She has had the opportunity to travel the world and to work with people from cultures far from her New York City upbringing. Ellen holds a degree from Brooklyn College in Early Childhood Education and has said that her years working as a pre-school teacher while she stayed home raising her children has actually been part of the secret to her successfully management style. When you work with small children you need to be prepared, you need to be clear in your instructions, you need to overly communicate and you need to be prepared for the unexpected. She is married for 40 years to her high school sweetheart, has two grown children and an adorable grandchild but please don’t call her grandma!
